The models are close. The gap that matters is how well you use one.
They are more alike than the debate suggests
All three are frontier models built by serious labs, and they have converged on the same core abilities: they read and write well, they reason through a problem, they handle images and documents, and they can be connected to your real tools and data. Any one of the three can be the brain of your operation. Give the same clear instruction to all three and you will usually get three good answers that differ more in tone than in quality. The gaps that make headlines are real for a benchmark and mostly invisible for the work a coach or a small business actually does.
The one you actually use is the best one
Fluency compounds. The model you know deeply, the one where you have learned how to prompt it, what it is good at, where it needs a human check, will out-perform the technically stronger model you barely touch. A tool you use every day and understand beats a slightly better tool you open once a month and fight with. So the most important model is not the one that wins this month's ranking. It is the one you commit to and get genuinely good at.
What we use, and why
We work hands-on with Claude and ChatGPT every day, across our own businesses and our clients'. Claude runs a lot of the connected, multi-step work: reading across files, holding a long task together, and handling the operations that run on a schedule. ChatGPT does a lot of our fast drafting and our image generation. They are not competitors on our desk. They are two brains we reach for depending on the job, and knowing which one to reach for is itself a skill worth having.
All three are moving fast
Whatever is true today will not be true in a few months. These systems improve on a fast cadence, and a confident ranking is out of date almost as soon as it is written. That is exactly why chasing "the best one" is a trap. The labs will keep trading the lead. Your advantage does not come from picking the current winner. It comes from being fluent enough that you can move with whichever tool is strongest for the task in front of you.
So stay in training
The real edge is not the model. It is the person using it.
